Russell Stevens, Jr., played by Fishburne, is a no-nonsense Los Angeles Police Department narc haunted by the memory of his dope-addict dad. He is assigned to go undercover and bring to justice a big-time Columbian cocaine dealer. Stevens poses as a dealer and is so effective in his masquerade that he quickly eliminates the underlings in the drug ring and gets close to the boss himself. But as he is drawn deeper and deeper into the sinister world of the drug trade, Stevens fears he may never find his way out.
