National Coalition Against The Misuse of Pesticides
NCAMP is a grass-roots environmental organization, headquartered in Washington, DC. They have a long-standing track record in identifying and eliminating hazardous pesticides and chemicals from our environment. They have encouraged increased legislation to protect our food from harmful pesticides while offering safer alternatives. Their work has resulted in the banning of harmful pesticides like chlordane used for termites in the US for decades and found to cause cancer. Recently NCAMP has launched educational and political efforts to curtail the use of harmful pesticides on telephone poles, which pollute the ground nationally, as well as cleaning up our national parks by curtailing the use of harmful pesticides within their boundaries.
