No, because I have gone to theaters with other people in them just as much as I've rented my own theaters.
Do you ever feel isolated?
Although I probably live a more isolated life than your average fellow, I will make it a point to experience life by going out in public whenever I can.
When was the last time you did that?
Two nights ago I was in Florida, and I went to Bennigan's or one of those restaurants, and I dealt with people coming up, you know, the waiters and all.
Hold on, you're a gourmet. What were you doing at a chain restaurant?
Well, at, like, three in the morning you don't have a lot of choices. [Interrupted by Jett, Travolta returns a few minutes later grinning] Sorry, I just can't resist my son – he amazes me.
He's beautiful.
[Proudly] Thank you. He's the most perfect child in regard to what he needs and wants. I mean, he's just so happy and complacent and understanding, but I think we also give him the space to be whoever he is.
How does Jett handle all the traveling that you do?
He's amazing on the road. In the past three weeks he's gone from L.A. to Maine, Maine to L.A., L.A. to Hawaii, Hawaii back to L.A. And none of it bothered him. It would have been rough if either my wife or my child didn't like to travel.
