Travolta broke out on the screen as teenage Brooklyn paint store clerk Tony Manero, who lives for nothing but dancing at a local disco. He teams up with an ambitious New York secretary to perform in the club's dance competition, and everything else is magic, even though life outside the club is not always easy. An artist at heart, Tony sees that dancing - and hard work - are his only way out of a dead end life. This film boasts the famous disco soundtrack by the Bee Gees.
