Local celebrity and TV weatherman Russ Richards (John Travolta) is on the verge of losing his shirt. Desperate to avert financial ruin, Russ together with Crystal Latroy (Lisa Kudrow), the station's Lotto ball girl, concoct a scheme for the numbers to come up in their favor. The numbers come up right, but everything else goes wrong, as their plan starts to unravel and the game turns rough.

In 1980, the Pennsylvania State Lottery was rocked by what will always be known as the "666 Fix," a scheme to fix the Daily Number drawing. The resulting scandal, then worth a staggering $1.2 million, inspired endless speculation, editorials and, now, the hilarious, fictional comedy Lucky Numbers.

Starring John and Lisa Kudrow, Lucky Numbers is a fictional comedy inspired by a real-life Lottery scam. Its all-star supporting cast includes Tim Roth, Ed O'Neill, Michael Rapaport, Bill Pullman, and Michael Moore. The film also marks the first time John and director, Nora Ephron, have worked together since their collaboration on the hit comedy Michael.
