Travolta plays the dual role of Federal agent Sean Archer and his surgically face-grafted look-alike, Castor Troy (played by Nicolas Cage), a deranged terrorist who killed Archer's son. In an attempt to learn vital information from Troy's imprisoned brother about a ticking bomb previously set by the terrorist, Archer has Troy's face surgically removed and reattached as his own. Things go awry when the faceless Troy awakens in the hospital and, in a horrific twist, forces the hospital staff to attach Archer's face to his. With the arch enemies wearing each other's faces (and Travolta playing Cage's character and Cage playing Travolta), the fun -- and mayhem -- begins.
