portrays the bad guy in Battlefield Earth. He takes
on the role of the alien Terl. Barry Pepper and Forest Whitaker co-star.
The film, based upon the bestselling science-fiction novel by L. Ron
Hubbard, is set in the year 3000, where man is an endangered species.
Battlefield Earth was released in May 2000.
John will next be starring in the comedy Lucky Numbers, directed by Nora Ephron,
reuniting them after their successful collaboration on Michael. In Lucky Numbers,
John plays a weatherman who rigs the Pennsylvania state lottery. The film
boasts a talented cast including Lisa Kudrow, Ed O'Neill, Tim Roth and Michael
Rapaport.
